MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Just because it’s cool outside doesn’t mean there’s nothing you can plant.
Susie Bachman, of Bachman’s Floral Gifts and Garden, says there are vegetables you can plant now that grow well in cooler temperatures, including: lettuce, broccoli, peas, radishes, Brussels sprouts and spinach.
She suggests using an organic vegetable fertilizer to give your plants an added boost once they pop out of the ground.
But don’t forget to cover your plants if the temperature dips below freezing.
