MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 13-year-old girl was almost lured into a man’s car as she was walking home from school on Thursday afternoon in Columbia Heights, police say.

The incident took place at 3:45 p.m. at the 4800 block of Central Avenue, according to authorities. Police say the man is about 30 years old, of mixed race, with a medium build and was wearing a plain navy blue baseball hat and a white T-shirt. He was driving a new and clean silver car, a vehicle similar to a Pontiac or Chevy Impala, the report said.
