Vikings Draft NC State LB Cole In 7th Round

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings selected North Carolina State linebacker Audie Cole with their first pick of the seventh round.

Cole had 107 tackles and two sacks last season for the Wolfpack.

The Vikings entered the round with three picks. After taking Cole at 210 overall, they traded the 211th to Tennessee.

It's been a busy day for the Vikings, who started things off with taking Arkansas receiver Jarius Wright in the fourth round. They also took USC tight end/fullback Rhett Ellison and Arkansas receiver Greg Childs in the fourth round, then grabbed Notre Dame defensive back Robert Blanton Jr. in the fifth round.

The Vikings took Georgia kicker Blair Walsh in the sixth round.

The Vikings currently have one more pick for the day — No. 219 overall.
