16-Month-Old Boy Seriously Hurt After Falling From Window

FARMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) – Police say a 16-month old child was seriously hurt Tuesday night after falling 10 to 15 feet outside the window of a home in Farmington.

Authorities responded to the incident at about 6:32 p.m. Tuesday on the 19600 block of Evensong Avenue. When they arrived, they learned the toddler was on the upper floor of the home and pushed on the screen of an open window when it gave way and the boy fell.

Police said the child fell between 10 and 15 feet, landed on a concrete patio and suffered serious head injuries. The boy was flown to Regions Hospital, and his condition is not known at this time.

Authorities are investigating the incident, but at this point believe it's a tragic accident.
