BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities have identified a Columbia Heights teen who died five days after being shot during a fight in Brooklyn Park last week.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim Wednesday as 16-year-old Terrence Tremaine Creamer. He was shot during a fight at Central Park on the 840 block of Regent Avenue in Brooklyn Park at about 8:31 p.m. on April 24.
Authorities say Creamer died of a gunshot wound and the incident is being ruled a homicide. He died at about 11:37 a.m. Sunday at North Memorial Hospital.
The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office charged Deshawn Roberts last Friday with attempted first- and second-degree murder as well as first-degree assault.
Those charges will likely be upgraded now that Creamer died from his injuries. Brooklyn Park Police say the incident is still under investigation.
