MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The University of Minnesota football team will host Northwestern for the fall 2012 Homecoming game, and the Gophers will take place in Iowa’s Homecoming game, too, in a fight for Floyd of Rosedale.

The Gophers play at Iowa at 11 a.m. on Sept. 29 and host Northwestern at 11 a.m. on Oct. 13 at TCF Bank Stadium.

Television partners for the two contests have yet to be announced. The games will air on ESPN, ESPN2 or the Big Ten Network.

The U of M begins the 2012 season on the Big Ten Network at 7 p.m. on Sept. 22 against Syracuse at home.
