GOODHUE, Minn. (WCCO) — A 10-year-old boy is dead after having a medical issue while climbing a tree, according to the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday at 5:17 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a medical situation at 33792 County Road 6 near Goodhue, Minn. The caller said the boy had been climbing a tree at the residence and was having a medical issue.
The boy’s family members performed CPR until emergency workers arrived at 5:25 p.m. Emergency workers continued the CPR and other lifesaving efforts, but were unsuccessful. The boy died at the scene.
The boy’s identification is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin and the ongoing investigation.
