MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities have found the body of a hunter from West St. Paul who went missing in western Wisconsin.

According to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, multiple law enforcement agencies, fire departments and emergency services were sent searching north of Boyceville, Wis., for the hunter after he went missing for more than 24 hours.

On Friday morning, the sheriff’s office confirmed they had located the body of Clifford William Frederick under a treetop that apparently snapped due to high winds, falling on Frederick.

Authorities said Frederick, 72, had gone turkey hunting on Thursday.

Boyceville is located about 70 miles east of Minneapolis.
