MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Macalester College alumnus Jerry Crawford has a vested interest in Saturday’s Kentucky Derby and wants his beloved college’s president, Brian Rosenberg, to be present for the 138th running of the Derby.
That’s because Crawford, a 1971 graduate, co-owns one of the 20 horses competing – Dullahan.
“I’ve been (to the Derby) once before,” Rosenberg said. “It’s crazy, and I think it’s something people should have on their bucket list.”
With eight-to-one odds, don’t count the Scot’s horse out.
