MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 20-year-old Champlin man was killed and two others were injured in a broadside crash in Anoka County Friday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities responded to a report of a crash at about 3:09 a.m. along Highway 10 in Ramsey. The State Patrol says two vehicles and three people were involved.
A 1996 Saturn coupe driving south on Riverdale Drive went through the stop sign at the intersection and was T-boned by a 2000 Ford Expedition traveling west on Highway 10, according to Lt. Eric Roeske of the State Patrol.
The driver of the Saturn, Badaso Hassen of Champlin, was killed. A passenger in the car, a 19-year-old from Coon Rapids, was also critically injured.
The driver of the Expedition, a 35-year-old Maple Grove man, received minor injuries.
The Minnesota State Patrol and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office are still investigating the crash.
