EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — After all these years, Greg Childs and Jarius Wright are still playing the same position for the same team.
They met as third-graders in the tiny town of Warren, Ark., continued on through high school and decided together to play their college ball for the home-state Razorbacks. Then came the most remarkable moment of all, when they were both selected in the fourth round by the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL draft last weekend.
Childs says the entire state of Arkansas has become fans of the Vikings.
Childs and Wright began their pro career Friday at a rookie minicamp held by the Vikings.
