Red Bulls Keep On Coming Home
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- This weekend marks the return of all Minnesota Red Bulls who were deployed to Kuwait.
At 9:40 a.m. Saturday, a plane carrying the second to last wave of Red Bulls landed at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Via bus, the troops headed home to family and friends.
The Red Bulls had been part of Operation New Dawn in Iraq and were one of the last units to leave. The 11-month deployment is the Minnesota National Guard's longest since World War II.
The final group is scheduled to land on Sunday.
