MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The St. Peter Police Department is searching for a patient reportedly missing from the city’s regional treatment center.

According to police, 25-year-old William Daniel Pfeffer, Jr. was reported missing around 1:58 p.m. Tuesday by staff. He is described as a 5-foot-6-inch white man, weighing about 240 pounds with a black beard and shaved head.

Patrice Vick, of the Department of Human Services communications, said Pfeffer is a patient in the forensics program for mentally ill and dangerous patients.

He was last seen wearing black pants, a navy blue T-shirt, black shoes and a white skull cap.

A ground search of the area south of the campus is currently being organized as St. Peter Police are still searching a nearby wooded area.

Anyone who comes into contact with Pfeffer is asked to call St. Peter Police at 507-931-1550.
