NICOLLET COUNTY (WCCO) – A patient who went missing from the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center Tuesday has been located Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, 25-year-old William Daniel Pfeffer, Jr. was reported missing around 1:58 p.m. Tuesday by staff.

At 2 p.m. Wednesday, he was located in a wooded area in Nicollet County. A K-9 Police dog tracked Pfeffer, and bit him on the arm when he was apprehended. He was treated for the injury and returned to the treatment center.

Patrice Vick, of the Department of Human Services communications, said Pfeffer is a patient in the forensics program for mentally ill and dangerous patients.
