MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — This year’s Glamorama event will head overseas for inspiration. The annual Macy’s event announced the theme for this year’s gala will be British Invasion — the Music Then, the Fashion Now.

The 2012 event will honor the biggest British pop icons from the past 50 years, and the fashion that followed.

The fashion show and musical production will take place Friday, Aug. 3 at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis. Pre-sale tickets go on sale from May 30 through June 7. Tickets range between $60 and $1,000 for VIP packages. For more information, visit their website.

The performers for this year’s event has not yet been released. Past performers include Bruno Mars, the Far East Movement and Macy Gray.
