ST. ANTHONY, Minn. (WCCO) – Two people are dead and another is hospitalized Monday evening after a triple shooting involving a family in the Twin Cities suburb of St. Anthony, just northeast of downtown Minneapolis.
Police were called around 8:30 p.m. to a duplex on the 3200 block of 39th Ave. NE after reports of shots fired.
Officers said a 52-year-old man shot both his 46-year-old wife and her 25-year-old son before turning the gun on himself.
The husband and wife were pronounced dead at the scene. The son survived, and has been hospitalized. Police said the 25-year-old man was shot in the leg.
Police said a total of six people lived at the home other than the three involved in the shooting. Those include a 16-year-old girl, a 19-year-old man and a 23-year-old man.
Authorities said the incident appears to be domestic-related and said it was not a random act.
The names of the victims have not yet been released, and the incident remains under investigation.
