MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – As the school year comes to a wrap, the list of the top public high schools in the country is complied.
As it has in the past, Minnesota had a pretty good showing on the list.
Edina High School has the highest ranking of local schools on the list, at 154 out of 1,000.
The ranking is based on graduation rate and SAT/ACT scores, among other factors.
Edina also made the list for “Top 20 Schools in the Midwest.”
Some other schools include Minnetonka, St. Louis Park Senior High, Eastview, Lakeville North and South, St. Anthony Village, Southwest, Eagan and Irondale.
The best school in the nation, according to Newsweek, is The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
