MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A bank teller stole $10,000 from the TCF Bank she worked at before quitting and reportedly planning to leave for Texas, police say.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Dakota County, Alicia Jo Hall, 23, of Inver Grove Heights, has been charged with felony theft aggregating over $5,000. Police said she stole $10,000 in two $5,000 increments earlier this month from the TCF Bank located in Cub Foods in West St. Paul.
Using video surveillance, investigators saw Hall twice put $5,000 in cash into her purse, on May 3 and on May 7. Police said Hall admitted to taking the $10,000, using $2,000 to pay off some bills. She said she gave the remaining $8,000 to her boyfriend, who she was unwilling to identify.
Hall is in custody.
