MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — With temperatures in the 90′s many Twins fans took refuge, out of their seats, and found shade to watch the game at Target Field Sunday.
Team spokesman Kevin Smith said they had typical number of medical calls, but nothing out of the ordinary.
“Our operations department also put out the swamp coolers, which are big fans, like outdoor air conditioners, military-style, like they use in war zones. We had four of those out there,” said Smith.

Smith said they also handed out sunscreen and had water stations set up.
“Our operations department did what they could to temper the heat,” he said.
Smith says they play Oakland Monday, when the temperatures will be about 30 degrees cooler.
