MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Five Minneapolis firefighters were injured battling a raging church fire, according to fire officials.
During heavy storms Sunday night, the fire started at Walker Community United Methodist Church, located on 3104 16th Ave. S.
According to Minneapolis police spokesman Sgt. Bill Palmer, four of the five firefighters are in the hospital with thermal injuries. The extent of the injuries is not known at this time.
