MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The missing piece of the downtown Minneapolis puzzle — a major grocery store — will soon be in place. Lunds will open its doors at 1201 Hennepin Ave. on June 14.
The new grocery store will also feature a wines and spirits shop at an adjacent building at 1208 Harmon Place.
A grand opening ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. June 14, with the wine and spirits shop opening at 10 a.m.
The 20,000-square-foot grocery store will be open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to midnight. The wines and spirit shop will be open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The store will feature Bachman’s Floral and Caribou Coffee, plus a rain garden with patio seating next to the wines and spirit shop.
