MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Thursday their annual summer caravan will get started on June 11, making stops in Brainerd, Alexandria and Fairmont.
Timberwolves guard Wayne Ellington and forward Athony Tolliver are headlining the summer caravan events. Timberwolves assistant coach Shawn Respert is also scheduled to be on the caravan as well as “Crunch” the mascot.
The stops include Washington Middle School in Brainerd on June 11, Lakes Area Recreation in Alexandria on June 12 and Fairmont Jr./Sr. High School on June 13. All the stops will go from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
The annual tour gives fans a chance to get autographs and hear from the team as it gets ready for the 2012-13 NBA season. This is the 23rd year of the Timberwolves Carvan.
