MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Firefighters snuffed out a fire Friday morning after it somehow started at a community college on the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation in northwestern Wisconsin, police said.

Chief Tim DeBrot, of the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Police Department, said that at 11:33 a.m. two fire departments responded to a fire burning at the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Community College, which is located on 13466 West Trepania Road in Chief Lake, Wis.

The college sustained fire, smoke and water damage, DeBrot said. But no one suffered injuries.

Authorities gave no indication as to how the fire started. It is under investigation.
