Mpls. Locks And Dams To Reopen To Commercial Traffic
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The St. Paul district of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will reopen three Twin Cities locks and dams on the Mississippi River to commercial traffic Wednesday.
The Upper and Lower St. Anthony Falls locks and dams and the lock and dam next to Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis were closed to commercial traffic at about 8 p.m. on May 29.
The locks and dams will be reopened at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The locks and dams were closed due to safety concerns with the rising waters, which happened after the recent heavy rainfall around the Twin Cities.
