SHAKOPEE, Minn. (WCCO/AP) — An 8-week-old Persian kitten that was stolen from a pet store in Shakopee has been found, authorities say.
The kitten had been stolen from Petland in Shakopee on Saturday evening.
The store captured the theft on two cameras. The footage showed a woman chasing out the kitten with its littermates through a glass window. It then showed her going in a restricted back room and taking the kitten out.
On Tuesday, the kitten, which is estimated to be worth about $500, was reported to be at the Animal Humane Society.
Authorities said a man who works at the shelter found the kitten.
It was not reported on whether the woman who was seen taking the kitten had been identified or located.
