ROSEVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) – A portion of Interstate 35W will be closed over the weekend as crews work to demolish the Highway 10 bridges in the north metro area.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the stretch from Interstate 694 and the north junction of Highway 10 will be closed in both directions beginning at 10 p.m. Friday.
The closure is expected to last until 5 a.m. Monday.
MnDOT said motorists should use posted detours that will take them over to Highway 252 and Highway 610.
Crews will not only be replacing the Highway 10 bridges throughout the course of the project, but will also be replacing a storm sewer culvert beneath I-35W.
