WALKER, Minn. (WCCO) — A 55-year-old man is dead after police say he went snorkeling on Long Lake and was later found by authorities.

Police received a report around 9 p.m. Tuesday of a man who had gone snorkeling but never returned. After a brief search by Cass County deputies, the man, of Walker, was found in Long Lake and pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s identity is being withheld until family members can be notified.

The case remains under investigation.
