MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Zimmerman man has died from injuries suffered when he crashed into a sanitation truck in Sherburne County, according to police.

Earl Sima, 86, died Wednesday from injuries suffered in the crash. The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at about 1:45 p.m. Monday near the intersection of County Road 1 and 288^th Avenue in Baldwin Township.

Sima was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital after accident.

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
