Police: Elderly Woman Found Murdered In Mpls. Home

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police are asking for the public's help after a elderly woman was found murdered in her Minneapolis home Wednesday.

According to Minneapolis Police, at noon on Wednesday, a patrol officer was dispatched to the 2200 block of Vincent Avenue North on a check the welfare call. Inside the home, with the help of Minneapolis Fire Department, the officer discovered the deceased elderly woman.

The woman was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office, where it was determined that she died as a result of homicide.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The victim's identity will be released after the investigation is complete.
