ROSEVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) – A 53-year old North St. Paul man is in critical condition after his motorcycle collided with a box truck in Roseville on Thursday evening.
According to Roseville Police, the motorcyclist was driving eastbound on County Road C when he allegedly entered the Prior Avenue intersection on a red light, striking a Renewal by Anderson truck at approximately 5:39 p.m.
When police arrived, they found the motorcyclist unconscious, with a severed left leg below the knee, and facial injuries and a fractured arm. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the box truck is a 39-year-old Eden Prairie man. He suffered no injuries, and is cooperating with police.
