MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One on One Bicycle Studio –- voted by WCCO viewers as the state’s best biking shop –- doesn’t look like your average cycling store.

Look up and hunting mounts adorn the wall.

“It kind of fits,” said Gene Oberpriller, who opened this space with his wife and some of his friends in 1989.

There’s a coffee shop up front – “you need fuel, just like you need it in any other kind of vehicle,” Oberpriller said.

Oberpriller uses his knowledge from 10 years of racing professionally to cater toward a wide array of customers.

“You can have somebody come in and say, ‘I just need a little tweaking, and I only have a couple of bucks,'” he said. “OK we’ll do that. And then like a minute later, somebody will come in the front door and they’re like, ‘I’m looking for this particular bike, or this particular style and I have this six-digit budget.'”
