MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are searching for a 20-year-old who went missing on Lake Minnetonka on Tuesday after jumping off a boat.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office said that at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, four other young adults aboard the 20-foot pleasure craft weren’t able to find their friend after searching the water.

The Minnesota State Patrol helicopter and fire departments from Long Lake, Wayzata and Excelsior are assisting in the search. The sheriff’s office is using sonar in an effort to locate the victim.
