BEMIDJI, Minn. (WCCO) — After leaving the bar, a 30-year-old man was found on a road outside of Bemidji with life-threatening injuries, police say.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office said Damien Matthew Charnoski was discovered at 3:24 a.m. on Wednesday east of Bemidji with marks from a brutal assault. The victim had left a downtown Bemidji bar with individuals yet to be identified.

Charnoski was transported by air ambulance to a Fargo hospital.
