Man Drowns After Falling Off Dock In Western Wis.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent drowning in the St. Croix River that happened Tuesday night.

Authorities received a report of a possible drowning on the St. Croix River near Prescott, Wis., at about 8:17 p.m. When they arrived, they learned a 65-year-old man had fallen off a courtesy dock into the river and didn’t come back up.

Local authorities sent in water patrol officials and divers to look for the man, but efforts were unsuccessful. Authorities said the search for the man will resume Wednesday morning.

Authorities said the incident is still under investigation.
