MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Two years after TCF got rid of its “totally free checking,” it’s back.

In 2010, TCF started charging customers monthly fees.

Then last year, TCF eliminated the $10 fee for certain customers — those who deposited at least $500 in their checking accounts each month or completed at least 10 transactions.

Now, TCF Bank says there will be no fee for anyone with a checking acount with them.

They started Free Checking in 1986.
