Vigil Set For Boy Slain By Stray Bullet In Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A vigil is planned for the 5-year-old boy killed by a stray bullet as he slept at his grandmother's home in north Minneapolis.

The anti-violence group "MAD DADS" says the vigil for Nizzel Anthony George of Brooklyn Park will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at 4500 Bryant Avenue in Minneapolis.

Nizzel was on a couch Tuesday morning when a bullet came through the wall and struck him.

Police believe a gunman apparently involved in an ongoing dispute with someone at the Minneapolis home took aim at the house and opened fire. Police continue investigating but report no arrests Thursday.

The boy's funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Temple International Ministries in Minneapolis.

Donations in Nizzel's name are being accepted at any M&I Bank location.
