MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The NHL’s free agency season starts Sunday, but will the Wild be real suitors for Sutter?

Former North Star Craig Hartsburg has joined Todd Richards’ coaching staff in Columbus.

Ron Gardenhire is lobbying for Josh Willingham to make the American League All-Star team.

Royce White did not go to New York for the NBA draft. He stayed in Ames, Iowa and gave thanks to the Houston Rockets for taking a chance.

The Timberwolves could invite Benilde-St. Margaret’s and University of Wisconsin’s Jordan Taylor to play on their summer team.

Ricky Rubio was a big hit with a couple local corporations the Timberwolves sent him to charm.

Joey Coleman has been impressive offensively in the Howard Pulley league, with improvement in his offensive game.

Former Cretin-Derham Hall and Notre Dame star Ryan Harris has returned to play in Denver after sitting out last season. He signed a two-year contract.

The Vikings’ Chris Cook was exonerated of assault charges this off season. He has returned with a new number and, he says, a new attitude.

Don’t be surprised if Pam Borton gets some sort of contract extension.

And are the Lynx trying to pace themselves because they have three players going to the Olympics?
