Minnesota State Fairgrounds Going To The Dogs

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. (WCCO) -- Dozens of dogs have descended on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds to take part in the annual Pet-A-Palooza on Machinery Hill.

"We have a lot of great entertainment. We have live music, the dock dogs are jumping, we've got the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center here. You can do 'Ask the Vet'," said Chris Kalis, one of the organizers of the event.

The event is being put on by CBS Radio, and sponsored by the Urban Dog, which has set up a buffet for your four legged friends.

Kalis said there are all kinds of dogs in all shapes and sizes.

"And then if you have the cutest pet -- which, we all know we have the cutest pet, right? -- you can come and get your picture taken, and participate in the cutest pet contest."

The event is free, and so is parking. It's open until 5 p.m. tonight.
