Woman Killed In Greenfield Crash

GREENFIELD, Minn. (WCCO) -- A 34-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the western Twin Cities metro area Saturday evening.

Authorities said two vehicles collided at the intersection of County Road 50 and Vernon Street at about 6:15 p.m.

One of the vehicles was a truck with two men inside, ages 23 and 21. The driver of the truck was taken to North Memorial Medical Center by ambulance with what authorities described as minor injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was killed in the crash. She was not immediately identified, nor were the other two people involved in the crash.

The State Patrol was on the scene to reconstruct the crash in an effort to determine the cause.

The Rockford Fire Department, as well as police units from Mound, Medina, Corcoran, and Three Rivers also responded to the scene.
