MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Authorities have identified the man who died in Minnetrista Sunday evening after being crushed by a boat.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office said 58-year-old Roger Edward Erickson, of Austin, Minn., died of positional asphyxia and blunt force injuries. Authorities say his death was an accident.

The accident happened at a house on the 3000 block of County Road 44 just before 8:30 p.m. Erickson had unhooked his boat when it started rolling down the driveway. He tried to stop it, but was crushed.
