Senser Attorney Files Request For Probation

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Amy Senser says she's 'deeply remorseful' and 'heartbroken' for the family of a man she killed in a hit and run accident last year.

Because of that, Senser's attorney Eric Nelson has filed a request that she does no jail time and that she only serves probation.

Hennepin County officials are expected to respond to the request on Wednesday.

Senser is scheduled to be sentenced Monday on two counts of criminal vehicular homicide for the crash that killed 38-year-old Anousone Phanthavong. She faces a maximum of four years in prison.
