Richfield Man Arrested In Woman's Death

RICHFIELD, Minn. (WCCO) -- A 49-year-old man is in jail accused of killing a 42-year-old woman in Richfield Wednesday morning, according to Richfield Police.

Police responded to a call to an apartment on the 7700 block of Penn Ave. S. at 10:17 a.m. When they arrived, they discovered the deceased woman. Milton Geshick, a resident of the same apartment, was taken into custody.

"We feel that he possibly had something to do with the case, so therefore we placed him into custody," said Richfield Police Lieutenant Jay Henthorne. "At this point, the case is still under investigation."

Police say detectives are following up on leads and waiting on a report from the Medical Examiner. At this point, the death is called suspicious.

Geshick is being held at the Hennepin County Jail on probable cause murder.
