Police Looking For Suspect In Waite Park Bank Robbery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are looking for a suspect after an apparent bank robbery Sunday morning in Waite Park, according to police.

Police said the incident happened at about 10:56 a.m. at the MidCountry Bank on the 100 block of Waite Avenue South in Waite Park, which is near St. Cloud. When officers arrived, they learned a suspect confronted employees inside the bank and demanded cash.

The man got an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the bank. Nobody was hurt in the robbery.

Authorities said the suspect is described as a white male about 35 to 45 years old, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 250 pounds. Police said he was wearing a light blue or gray shirt and shorts at the time of the robbery. He was seen leaving the bank in an early 2000 silver or gray Ford Mustang.
