MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 62-year-old Garrison woman was sentenced to more than 32 years in prison on Monday in connection with the death of her 64-year-old husband back in September of 2010.
Helene Mitchell-Abraham was previously found guilty of second-degree intentional murder and interference with a dead body in connection with the case. She had been accused of striking and killing her husband, Wendell Wayne Abraham, with a vehicle on Sept. 23, 2010.
State sentencing guidelines suggested she face between 278 and 391 months, and she got the maximum. The 391 months amounts to 32.5 years in prison.
