APPLE VALLEY, Minn. (WCCO) — A driver and his passenger were ejected from a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in a three-car crash in Apple Valley.
Police say the accident happened at 2:18 p.m. Tuesday on Galaxie Avenue at the intersection of Founders Lane.
When officers arrived on scene they found the driver and passenger of a Toyota Rav 4 had been ejected and were lying in the roadway. The driver was transported from the scene to Hennepin County Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The driver has been identified as a 53-year-old resident of Apple Valley. The victim’s full identification is being withheld until his family can be notified.
The other drivers in the crash were not injured. Witnesses at the scene told police the Toyota Rav 4 was heading north on Galaxie when it struck two vehicles at Founders Lane.
The crash is being investigated.
