MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities have identified the man who was found dead inside a burning van last weekend in Rice County.
The Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 45-year-old Michael Fraser, of the Northfield area. Sgt. Joe Yetzer, of the Rice County Sheriff’s Office, said dental records were used to identify him.
Authorities began the investigation into Fraser’s death Sunday morning, when he was found on 150th Street West and Acorn Trail in a van that was on fire.
The medical examiner’s office has yet to release Fraser’s exact cause and manner of death. The toxicity report is also pending, Yetzer said.
