MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A missing man from Plainview was found dead in Wisconsin after being in an apparent car crash.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Plainview Police Department sent out a crime alert in the efforts of finding Edward Kruger, who was last seen in Chicago.

According to authorities, Kruger was last seen on June 29 driving a 1994 Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Kruger was on his way to Elgin, Minn., authorities said. However, he might have stopped in Brooklyn Center, Minn., before going to Elgin.

Authorities say they don’t believe there are suspicious circumstances in the incident. Wisconsin officials are investigating.
