10th Annual Red Ribbon Ride Underway
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) -- The 10th annual Red Ribbon Ride is underway.
More than 200 bicyclists peddled off Thursday morning from the Mall of America. The four-day bike ride raises money for HIV and AIDS services and programs in Minnesota.
"We are very passionate about this cause because it's not just impacting us now, it's going to impact our future, our kids, our grandkids and we'd like to not have to do with ride anymore, hopefully, so that's kind of why we do the ride," said rider Angie Skelly of St. Louis Park.
The riders will spend nights in Lake City, Rochester and Northfield before ending their ride at the State Capitol on Sunday.
