Working For The Weekend: Aquatennial, Highland Fest, Muscle Cars
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It’s July in Minnesota, which means we’re in store to have another hot weather weekend.
It also means it’s time for you to cut loose and have some fun. Here’s some events for you to add to your social calendar if you’re looking for something fun to do.
Highland Fest St. Paul
Head over to St. Paul this weekend for Highland Fest, a celebration of the Highland Village.
The summer celebration is filled with art, live music on two stages, food, amusement rides, a 5K run, a strongman competition and a craft-brew tasting.
There will also be fireworks displays Friday and Saturday at 10:30 p.m.
Car Craft Summer Nationals
Looking for a spot to check out some crafty cars this weekend? Head to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in Falcon Heights for the Car Craft Summer Nationals.
The car show will have more than 5,200 muscle cars and street machines on display. Tickets are $13 for adults and $8 for children.
A full slate of events continues for the Minneapolis Aquatennial, known as the “Best Days of Summer.” The celebration culminates with a large fireworks display Saturday night.
The Target Fireworks Show will start around 10 p.m. Saturday, but event-goers are urged to go early for live music starting at about 6 p.m. Everything will be happening on West River Parkway along the Mississippi River.
