MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Stillwater police are asking residents to make sure their windows and doors are locked overnight after a string of burglaries have left some without purses and wallets.
Police say the robberies have occurred between the hours 3 a.m. and 6 a.m., although some have happened as early as midnight. The suspects have stolen purses, wallets and, in some cases, small electronics. They may also have gained entry into unlocked cars.
The suspects are described as two males between the ages of 14 and 20; they have small builds and dark hair.
In several instances, neighbors have seen the suspects, police said. However, neighbors only made calls to police after the robberies happened.
If you see any suspicious activity, authorities ask that you call 911 right away. If you have any information on who the suspects might be, call police at 651-351-4945.
Also, police advise that you do not leave purses or wallets in view of doors and windows.
